Shift is 0.9 FTE day shift (12-hour shifts) from 06:30 to 19:00, with every third weekend and a holiday rotation. The role involves inpatient acute care unit work within a healthcare setting, with potential float to other inpatient units based on census. Administer prescribed medications and treatments following approved nursing techniques, policies, standards of care, and applicable laws. Document assessments, plans, treatments, and patient responses according to professional standards. Develop and execute a patient care plan, including patient and family education tailored to individual needs and physician/hospital policies. Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities and support the patient’s longitudinal plan of care. Exercise clinical judgment to promote patient safety and positive patient experience, escalating concerns through the appropriate chain of command. May float to other inpatient units as census dictates to support patient care needs.
