The purpose of this position is to carry out all duties involved with unloading and receiving material into the warehouse.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:Ability to handle deliveries and inventory control proceduresLoading and unloading packages up to at least 50 lbs.Verify accuracy of shipments by counting, weighing, or measuring items and comparing size, weight, description, and item numbers with information on invoices or packing slips and purchase orders; record any discrepancies or damages.Inspect shipments for damage defects.Communicates and coordinates with appropriate buyer planners and other personnelSubmit proper documents and notifications to accounts payable.Delivers materials systematically and physically to various locations within the plant in a timely mannerMust be able to operate a forklift truck.At YKK AP America Inc., pay is only part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The hourly pay range for this position ranges from $17.88-$21.35, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.Qualifications and Skill Requirements:High School diploma/GED (minimum)Have a good understanding of BPCS & ADC systemsGood communications and computer skillsAbility to add & subtract, multiply, divide.Knowledge of inventory procedures and transactionsAbility to carry out detailed written or oral instructionsBe vigilant about safetyQuality - conscious, oriented to excellenceTravel Requirements: The travel required for this position is less than 5%.Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Proper lifting techniques required. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
