Postdoc Research Scholar - Ferreira Lab

Position Overview A one-year renewable postdoctoral position available with the Department of Population Health and Pathobiology at North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Duties and Responsibilities Advance swine health, welfare and productivity. Play an integral role in advancing pain management strategies for pigs on farm in the U.S. Conduct on-farm research and identify pain behaviors in swine while analyzing data. The candidate must have earned a PhD (in a field related to veterinary medicine or animal sciences, with preference for welfare experience) and be able to work independently and collaboratively with colleagues in the Animal Welfare and Behavior Lab at NCSU. This position is anticipated to have funding for one year. Requirements and Preferences Work schedule: Mon. - Fri., 8am - 5pm, may include some after hours or weekend work as deemed necessary. Preferred experience: working on swine facilities; studies collecting data on pain response in swine. Preferred license: Valid NC Driver's License.
