Home Instead is looking for experienced Care Professionals in the Galena and Elizabeth, Illinois area who know that excellent care isn't about checking boxes. It's about helping someone remain safe, comfortable, and connected in the place they call home.

Pay: $16.00 to $18.00/hr - paid semi monthly. Additional $1/hr for weekend hours.

Schedules Available for Saturday:

8:00 am to 12:00 pm

9:00 am to 12:30 pm

5:00 pm to 9:00 pm

May also have occasional fill in shifts during the week

Skills Needed:

• Comfortable working alongside a spouse with limited eyesight who is actively involved in care
• Understands and respects medication-assistance boundaries
• Hands-on personal care, including bathing and shower assistance
• Safe mobility and fall prevention
• Skilled with gait belt and walker use
• Hands-on transfers and knowing not to rush a client who is weak or unsteady
• Toileting, brief changes, peri-care and skin protection
• Supporting a client with mild dementia using a calm, patient approach
• Preparing simple, nutritious meals
• Proactively encouraging hydration
• Light housekeeping and helping maintain a safe, comfortable home
• Following a detailed care plan rather than improvising
