Residential Service PlumberWe are seeking an experienced Residential Service Plumber to join a well-established, family-owned plumbing company serving the Howell, Michigan area.This is a great opportunity for an experienced plumber who enjoys diagnosing problems, making quality repairs, running service calls independently, and taking care of customers without high-pressure sales tactics.The company offers strong hourly compensation, unlimited overtime opportunities, additional on-call pay, service/product incentives, benefits, PTO, weekly advanced training, and dedicated inventory support.You'll also have an inventory team and parts runners available to stock your truck and deliver parts, water heaters, and other materials directly to job sites—allowing you to spend more time plumbing and less time chasing materials.What You'll DoDiagnose and repair residential plumbing problems, including leaks, clogs, water-line issues, drain problems, and fixture failuresInstall, replace, and service toilets, faucets, fixtures, garbage disposals, water heaters, sump pumps, water softeners, and related equipmentTroubleshoot residential water heaters and plumbing systemsPerform drain clearing and basic sewer and water-line troubleshootingAssess service calls, determine required repairs and materials, and complete work safely and efficientlyExplain findings, repair options, and recommended next steps clearly to homeownersComplete service notes, photos, invoices, and job documentationFollow applicable plumbing codes, safety procedures, and company quality standardsMaintain an organized service vehicle, tools, equipment, and assigned inventoryRun residential service calls independently while working as part of a supportive teamPresent customers with appropriate service and product options without high-pressure sales tacticsWhat We're Looking ForPrevious residential service plumbing experienceStrong troubleshooting and diagnostic skillsAbility to independently run residential plumbing service callsExperience repairing and replacing common residential plumbing equipmentProfessional communication skills and ability to work directly with homeownersValid driver's license with a clean and reliable driving recordAbility to pass required background and employment screeningAbility to safely perform the physical requirements of plumbing work, including lifting, carrying, kneeling, crawling, and working in confined spacesStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanshipPreferred ExperienceExperience in any of the following is a plus:Traditional and tankless water heatersDrain cleaningSewer and water-line repairSump pumpsWater treatment and softener systemsGas pipingBoilersBackflow systemsDigital service software, tablets, or electronic invoicingScheduleNormal operating hours: 8:00 AM–4:30 PMAfter-hours/on-call rotationUnlimited overtime opportunitiesAdditional compensation for on-call workCompensation & Benefits$35–$45/hour base payOvertime opportunitiesIncreased compensation for on-call coveragePercentage-based incentives for service/product salesStrong benefits packagePaid time offWeekly advanced trainingDedicated inventory team and parts runnersRelocation assistance availableIf you're an experienced residential service plumber looking for strong hourly pay, plenty of available work, and a company that provides the support and resources you need in the field, we'd like to hear from you.
