Role Description
The Social Media Marketing Intern is a part-time, on-site role based in New York, NY. This role supports the planning, creation, and publishing of social media content across platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and other emerging channels, aligned with Last Crumb’s brand voice and visual identity. The intern will assist in developing social media calendars, capturing photo and video content, writing captions, and engaging with the online community through comments and direct messages. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring social media performance, collaborating with Social Media and Content manager, and helping brainstorm new content ideas to drive engagement and brand awareness. The role offers hands-on experience in social media marketing within a growing, consumer-focused brand.
Responsibilities
We're looking for a Social Media Intern to help produce content and manage day-to-day social media:
- Host our street interview series: approach people on camera in Williamsburg and Manhattan, offer them a cookie, and film their reactions.
- Create TikTok and Reels content based on trends and memes.
- Assist on food content shoots (product close-ups, toppings, pours, etc.).
- Reply to comments and DMs.
- Appear on camera as a spokesperson for Last Crumb.
- Hand model to showcase cookies and drinks.
Qualifications
- Comfortable on camera and talking to strangers.
- Chronically online and up to date on TikTok/Reels trends, formats, and memes.
- Good eye for food content and Instagram/Pinterest aesthetics.
- Able to come up with new content ideas.
- Based in or near NYC, able to be on-site in Williamsburg and Manhattan for shoots.
Bonus
- A social media account you can share with us.
- Basic video editing experience (CapCut, Premiere, or similar) is a plus.
Details
- Paid internship, $17/hour, 10-20 hours per week, 3-6 month scope.
- Hybrid: flexible schedule, mainly weekdays with occasional weekends for events. On-site attendance required for shoot days in Williamsburg and Manhattan.
- Interns use their own phone for work.
- Reports directly to the Social Media & Content Manager
