Freezer Off Loader

Job Description

Joliet Staffing is hiring a Freezer Off Loader for a busy food distribution center in Minooka, IL . This position is responsible for safely unloading products in a freezer environment, organizing inventory, and ensuring products are accurately staged for warehouse operations. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in cold temperatures.

Location: Minooka, IL

Pay: $17.00/hour

Shift: 3rd Shift

Essential Responsibilities

Unload pallets, boxes, and frozen food products from trailers and containers.
Verify incoming shipments for accuracy and report any shortages or damages.
Stage and organize products in designated freezer storage locations.
Move materials safely using pallet jacks or other warehouse equipment as needed.
Stack, wrap, and prepare pallets for storage or distribution.
Maintain accurate inventory and assist with stock rotation (FIFO).
Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and warehouse safety procedures.
Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) while working in freezer conditions.
Work efficiently to meet productivity goals while maintaining quality standards.
Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Previous warehouse, distribution center, or freezer experience is preferred but not required.
Ability to work in a cold freezer environment for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
Comfortable standing, walking, bending, reaching, and performing repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Reliable attendance and punctuality are required.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
Work in cold temperatures while wearing appropriate freezer PPE.
Bend, stoop, twist, and reach throughout the workday.
