Posting Summary Rutgers is seeking a Research Specialist (Research Engineering Manager) for the Civil & Environmental Engineering department. The department has recently been awarded several projects related to advanced cementitious materials and is seeking a professional with extensive expertise in both laboratory and field work who can synthesize research results and translate findings into practical testing and analysis procedures. Responsibilities Coordinate resources, execute projects, and manage laboratory and fieldwork effectively. Provide technical leadership and operational oversight across multiple sponsored research projects. Supervise research personnel to ensure compliance, quality, and timely delivery of project outcomes. Compensation and Benefits FLSA Status : Exempt Grade : 05 Salary Range : Minimum $71,447; Mid‑Range $90,435; Maximum $109,422 The final salary offer may be determined by candidate qualifications, experience, expertise, and available department or grant funds. Preferred Qualifications 4 years of related field and research experience and 2+ years of research engineer experience. OSHA 30 certification and EIT. ASTM and AASHTO laboratory testing experience.
