Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments that are culturally sensitive, providing insight into patients’ unique experiences and guiding the development of tailored treatment plans.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions during individual, family, and group therapy sessions, addressing a variety of mental health concerns.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other multidisciplinary professionals to ensure coordinated care that fully supports the needs of each patient.

• Engage in crisis intervention as necessary, offering support and guidance during mental health emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and local community resources, promoting informed decision-making and empowerment.

• Maintain accurate and confidential patient documentation in compliance with all ethical and legal standards.

• Participate actively in team meetings, case conferences, and ongoing cultural competency training to continue enhancing your skills and service delivery.

• Stay updated on current mental health research, best practices, and emerging trends relevant to culturally competent therapy.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Virginia.

• A robust understanding of mental health disorders along with evidence-based treatment modalities.
\n
• Proven experience in delivering individual and group therapy through culturally responsive practices.

• Strong crisis intervention capabilities, with the ability to manage challenging situations with patience and empathy.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on building rapport with a diverse patient population.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant computer applications.

• Commitment to professional ethics, maintaining boundaries and confidentiality at all times.

• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of experience in mental health counseling or a related field is preferred, providing a foundation of expertise in diverse therapeutic techniques.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The position offers a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
