Requirements

• Basic life support
• Cardiopulmonary resuscitation
• Licensed dental hygienist

License: Active registered dental hygiene license in the state of New Jersey.
Education: Associate or Bachelors Degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program.
Certification: Current CPR/BLS certification.
Skills: Proficiency in taking and interpreting dental radiographs, strong knowledge of periodontal therapy and preventive care, excellent chairside manner, strong communication, time management, organizational skills, and experience with dental practice management software.

Job Description

Patient Care: Perform thorough dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing for a diverse patient base.
Assessment: Conduct comprehensive oral health assessments, including periodontal charting and oral cancer screenings.
Radiographs: Take and review dental radiographs in accordance with practice protocols.
Education: Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and individualized treatment plans.
Documentation: Document accurate patient records and update medical and dental histories in the practice management system.
Collaboration: Collaborate with the dentist and clinical team to develop customized patient care plans.
Safety: Maintain sterilization and infection control standards in compliance with OSHA and state regulations.
