Pharmacy Cashier

Overview This job involves delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience, handling sales at the cash register, and supporting store operations. It also includes participation in training and personal development activities and meeting basic and preferred qualifications for the role. Responsibilities Customer Experience: Engage customers by greeting them, offering assistance with products and services, resolving issues, and answering questions to ensure a positive experience. Model and share customer service best practices with team members, including interpersonal habits (greeting, eye contact, courtesy) and store service traits (proactive help, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied). Develop strong relationships with valued customers. Operations: Register customer purchases on the assigned cash register, handle cash and change, and process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed. Reco mmend items for sale and trade-up or companion items. Assist with OTC products and accompany customers to the aisle when possible. Operate pharmacy systems to obtain patient prescription status. Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and adhere to company policies related to pharmacy errors and the Quality Improvement Program. Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, take inventory, and maintain records. Check in and price merchandise as directed. Implement asset protection procedures and ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products. Construct and maintain displays, complete resets and revisions as directed. Maintain working knowledge of store systems and equipment. Assist with exterior and interior maintenance, keeping the store clean, neat, and orderly. Comply with all company policies and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers. Complete special assignments as directed. Training & Personal Development: Attend training and complete programs requested by management or assigned by corporate. Basic Qualifications: Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours. Preferred Qualifications: Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
