Outside the hospital, she supports local bird-conservation efforts and is passionate about creating safer, pollinator-friendly spaces. Caring for living things is apparently a full-time condition. Our surgeon is a skilled, thoughtful clinician who brings focus, precision, and a steady presence to the operating room. She moved to Jacksonville because she wanted to build a surgery service within this collaborative group of women. She recently welcomed her first baby, who joins a family that already includes a horse named Bug and a growing gaggle of kittens. Our criticalist has spent years training house officers who remain fiercely loyal to her because she shares her knowledge generously and makes people feel safe asking questions.
