NewsNation - Supervising Producer- Morning In America Weekend (New York)

NewsNation is looking for a Supervising Producer for the network’s weekend morning program. The Supervising Producer plays a lead role in managing the creation of the show’s rundown and facilitates the production process from the daily pitch meeting to the execution of the live show in the control room, collaborating with editorial and production staff throughout the day. Duties & Responsibilities Works with the Executive Producer and Senior Producer(s) to create the show’s rundown and manage workflow for a team that includes segment producers, writers, and associate producers. Works with the director and production crew on technical aspects of broadcast. Writes scripts, including but not limited to opens, teases, and segments. Facilitates creation of in-show graphics and story titles. Copy edits scripts. Times the newscast in the control room during live broadcast. Coordinates with the assignment desk and control room staff, being proactive about troubleshooting problems and responding to breaking news. Serves as a senior producer in a senior producer’s absence. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements & Skills Experience producing for a national news program or producing newscasts in a top‑10 market. Strong news judgement. Quick decision maker and creative thinker. Collaborative team player who advocates for their show but finds ways to elevate network reporting. Bachelor’s degree in journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to adapt to change, meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Proficiency with ENPS. Flexibility to work different shifts. Salary & Benefits Salary Range: $95,000 – $115,000 (commensurate with experience).
