Senior Sales Engineer Retail Digital Workers

Location: Herndon, VA (Hybrid) (2540% customer travel) Fulltime Position

Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years in solutions engineering, solution architecture, technical consulting, or customer-facing enterprise architecture, including 3+ years in retail, e-commerce, CPG, distribution, or supply chain.
• Hands-on experience with APIs, JSON and XML, SQL, identity and data mapping, event or messaging patterns, and at least one language such as Python, TypeScript, Java, or C#.
• Experience with one or more retail platforms: POS, OMS, WMS, ERP, PIM, CRM and CDP, commerce, marketplaces, payments, loyalty, inventory, or supply-chain systems.
• Understanding of multi-agent workflows, LLMs, retrieval, deterministic rules, evaluation, observability, human approval, hallucination, and prompt injection.
• Ability to build compelling demos and scope pilots using synthetic data, explicit KPIs, edge cases, and acceptance criteria.
• Working knowledge of cloud and customer-hosted deployments, security, secrets, access control, logging, event streaming, and scalable software integration.
• Strong communication across executives, retail operators, architects, data teams, engineers, security and privacy, finance, and procurement.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Shopify Plus, Adobe Commerce, SAP or Oracle retail and ERP, Manhattan Associates, Blue Yonder, major POS platforms, or equivalent systems.
• Familiarity with PCI DSS 4.0.1, consumer privacy and consent, retail fraud, tokenization, loyalty data, and customer identity.
• Experience with Kafka and event streaming, EDI, inventory analytics, forecasting, optimization, computer vision, or store-edge systems.
• Pre-sales experience with agentic AI, retail analytics, commerce, inventory, supply chain, RPA, fraud, data, or cloud platforms.
