Registered Nurse Mother Baby / Postpartum

Job Summary:

Provide specialized maternal and postpartum nursing care to patients, ensuring safety, comfort, and clinical excellence throughout their hospital stay. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support maternal and neonatal health.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Administer nursing care to mothers and newborns, adhering to clinical protocols.
  
  
• 
  Perform IV insertions and blood draws with precision and safety.
  
  
• 
  Monitor patients under conscious sedation, adjusting care as needed.
  
  
• 
  Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
  
  
• 
  Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress accurately.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold an active New York State RN License.
  
  
• 
  Possess a minimum of two years maternal and child healthcare experience.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency in IV insertion, phlebotomy, and conscious sedation.
  
  
• 
  Certified in BLS, ACLS (excluding Bellevue), and NRP.
  
  
• 
  Complete primary source verification of licensure from NYS Department of Education.
