Machinist Position

This is a 3rd shift position
Knape & Vogt Manufacturing Company has been based in Grand Rapids for over 125 years. We are a global leader specializing in the design, manufacture and distribution of functional hardware, office and healthcare ergonomics and storage-related components for original equipment manufacturers, specialty distributors, hardware chains and major home centers.

What will you get to do?
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Set up and adjust machine tools such as lathes, milling machines and EDM wire cutting machines
- Maintain and repair machine tools
- Operate manual and automated machine tools to produce precision parts
What you will bring:
- Proven experience as a machinist
- High school diploma/GED
- Strong mechanical and math skills
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings and blueprints
- Ability to operate a variety of machine tools
- Previous experience running CNC machinery
- Familiarity with CAM software and SolidWorks
