Job Description
Registered Nurse - Medical Intensive Care Unit

Schedule

3x12-hour shifts rotating every 4 weeks or 4 weeks days/4 weeks nights.

Assignment Details

36 hours per week.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Medical ICU experience.
• EPIC experience is required.
• Current certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NIHSS (AHA certifications only).
• Proficient in IV start and experience with telemetry.
• Competency with ventilators.
• Specialized experience in multisystem organ failure, respiratory failure, COVID, sepsis, post-cardiac arrest, diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), liver failure, and renal failure.
• Knowledge of NxStage CRRT, Alaris IV Pump, GE cardiac monitor, GE ventilator is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
• Monitor patient conditions and perform assessments.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to establish care plans.
• Educate patients and families about treatment protocols and recovery processes.
• Document patient care accurately in the EMR system.
