Position Summary

The Senior Payroll Specialist serves as a trusted advisor to our clients, providing expert-level payroll support, problem resolution, and consultative guidance. This role is responsible for managing complex payroll issues, supporting client payroll processing needs, and helping clients maximize the value of their Payfluence HCM solution.

The ideal candidate is highly knowledgeable in all aspects of payroll administration and providing service beyond expectation for our clients.

What You'll Do

• Deliver exceptional customer service through proactive communication and problem-solving.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for a book of clients.
• Process, review, and troubleshoot complex payroll transactions and payroll-related issues.
• Provide prompt, accurate, and detailed professional support via phone, email, and virtual meetings.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted payroll advisor.
• Educate clients on payroll best practices, compliance requirements, and system functionality.
• Assist clients in maximizing utilization of Payfluence's Human Capital Management platform.
• Collaborate with implementation, tax, benefits, and HR teams to ensure client success.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance the client experience.

What You'll Bring

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of payroll processing and customer support experience.
• Experience working with payroll software platforms, preferably within the HCM, payroll, PEO, or HR technology industry.
• Strong understanding of payroll tax regulations, wage and hour compliance, garnishments, and payroll best practices.
• Proven success in a client-facing service role with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and cloud-based business applications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with isolved or other Human Capital Management platforms.
• Knowledge of multi-state payroll processing and payroll tax compliance.
