Step into a rewarding contract position supporting students in multiple elementary schools as a highly qualified paraprofessional in the Anoka-Hennepin area. Work closely with various school teams, making a difference in children’s lives while gaining invaluable experience across a range of educational settings. You’ll have the opportunity to indicate your preferred school location, ensuring your placement aligns with your interests and commute.
Start your journey on August 31, 2026, and work through November 29, 2026, with a Monday–Friday schedule totaling 32.5 hours per week. Demonstrate your dedication and skills during this 90-day contract period, after which you’ll transition to a direct-hire role within the district.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Highly qualified under Minnesota guidelines—either by passing the MN Para Educator Exam or possessing at least 60 college credits with official transcripts (photos of degrees not accepted).
- Experience in a paraprofessional or school support role preferred.
- Willingness to assist with all duties, including toileting support as needed.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Must provide a current resume and one document verifying highly qualified status (official transcript or Para exam results).
Core Responsibilities:
- Support classroom teachers in implementing instructional plans and providing personalized student guidance.
- Assist students with both academic and behavioral needs throughout the day.
- Adapt support strategies to fit diverse learning styles.
- Participate in daily school routines, including supervision during transitions, meals, and activities.
- Collaborate with fellow staff to create a positive, inclusive school environment.
