Neurology Nurse Practitioner

Job Title: Nurse Practitioner, Colleyville, TX (Hybrid)
Job Type: Full Time
Shift: Days(Mon-Fri)

Monday / Wednesday / Thursday in clinic
Tuesday telehealth (WFH)
Friday admin day (WFH)

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct patient assessments, including neurological exams and history taking
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., MRI, CT, EEG, lab work)
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with neurologists
• Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, and lifestyle modifications
• Provide follow-up care, including medication management and symptom monitoring
• Assist in urgent consultations and triage of neurological patients
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education

Qualifications:

• Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Texas
• Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program
• National NP certification (e.g., AANP or ANCC)
• Experience in neurology, internal medicine, or critical care preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR)
• Experience with procedures such as lumbar punctures or Botox for migraine (optional)
• Willingness to participate in clinical research or teaching (if applicable)
• Experience with infusion clinic management preferred but not required
