Because we believe that your career path should be as unique as you are.Job Responsibilities:Applicable laws, rules, regulations and/or policies and proceduresResearch methods, techniques, and/or sources of informationExcellent knowledge of principles, theories and practices of Project ManagementExcellent tooling skills from planning to launchingSupport quoting and cost estimation by analyzing tooling, production, and subcontract requirementsCreate and update detailed engineering drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks according to engineering standardsLead root cause analysis and corrective action plans for tooling and production-related issuesImprove tooling life, product quality, and process capability through redesign and process optimizationManage Tool Room operations including tooling procurement, usage tracking, and tool life analysisImplement systems for accurate tool control, ordering, and usage monitoringMentor and train engineers, technicians, and Tool Room staff to strengthen internal expertiseCollaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement, equipment upgrades, and process standardizationEnsure all engineering practices comply with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standardsExcellent skills in equipment planning and installation for assembly equipmentExcellent knowledge regarding quality expectations, planning and implementation within new projectsExcellent skills regarding Automotive product launchesExcellent product knowledge in Class-A, B and C for the automotive industryFamiliar with all quality related methods and tools such as but not limited to CPMP, APQP, FMEA, etc.Excellent customer relationshipsPhysical DemandsSome of the physical demands for this position include the ability to lift 40 pounds, the ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time, and occasional bending and stooping. Office environment in a manufacturing facility. 60% in the office, 40% on the shop floorKnowledgeBachelor Degree in a technical related discipline and/ or 5 plus years related automotive experience with sound understanding of BIW build fit & function.Certified Tool & Die Maker and/or 5 years related work experience in a Class A metal stamping manufacturing environmentMust have an understanding in the following areas: Die / die process, assembly tooling, welding & sealer applications, CMM & datum alignment, data processing & reporting, customer tolerancing concepts, working knowledge of catia V4/V5.Strong computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Project, Word.Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.Strong leadership skills.Awareness, Unity, Empowerment:At Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
