Academic Endocrinologist Position
The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in Charleston, SC is seeking an academic Endocrinologist to participate in clinical care, research, and teaching. Applicants must be Board Certified in Internal Medicine and BC/BE in Endocrinology. The Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolic Medicine at MUSC has a fifty year distinguished history of clinical, translational, and basic research on the complications of diabetes. The successful applicant will treat patients with a full spectrum of endocrine conditions, including thyroid, adrenal, pituitary, bone, gonadal, and metabolic disorders, in addition to diabetes. A new joint endocrine/obstetric clinic has recently been implemented, and telemedicine initiatives are in development. The appointee will work with a team of ten nurse practitioners/physician assistants/dietitians. Teaching duties will focus on education of the five Endocrinology Fellows in training, and of rotating residents and medical students. The successful candidate will hold an academic rank commensurate with experience.
