Job Posting Title: Quality Assurance Supervisor

POSITION SUMMARY
The Quality Supervisor is a visible leadership and development role. This individual is responsible for supporting the quality programs in the warehouse and will report to the site General Manager. This role supports local continuous improvement activities, document controls, and ISO activities. He/she will also ensure that the operation adheres to the overall corporate mission, vision, and core values while consistently meeting client and company expectations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Quality
Maintains compliance with international, industry, and customer-specific quality standards.
Leads and individually perform as needed, the analysis of product/service issues to determine root causes.
Manages and communicates change control processes to all departments.
Responsible for the coordination of internal and external auditing plus maintaining the internal quality audit system.
Assists in implementation and monitoring of the company's quality systems including, but not limited to, compliance with the following standards: ISO 9001:2008.
Assists in the establishment, implementation, and evaluation of quality management system metrics.
Provides guidance and support for both customer service and quality departments assisting with problem solving and improvement opportunities.
Manages customer driven continual improvement roadmaps.
Drives Continuous Improvement Programs at all levels including education of these programs
Develops and conducts training on the quality system and other related topics.
Oversee document control; updating, creating and publishing controlled documents including sending change notifications to effect parties/departments and follow up on the Quality Management System.
Develops and implements administrative systems including record management, traceability, and trend reporting.
Budgeting
Identifies cost improvement initiatives, which generate positive results to the assigned operation EBIT
Develops and manages a system of controls to ensure that service levels and operational performance goals are met within prescribed cost, revenue, and profit parameters for the operation
Customer Service
Monitors KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) for assigned operation
OTHER DUTIES
Work overtime as dictated by business whether mandatory or voluntary.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Communicates all problems and questions to site leadership and implements solutions to minimize risk.
Follow all safety procedures.
Responsible for all equipment, supplies, documents, and materials related to job .
Responsible for following all DSV policies and procedures.
Complies with all federal, state, and local regulations.
Communicates with all levels of staff and the public as appropriate to the job.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education & Experience:
Must have a h igh school diploma
3 years’ experience working in a logistics /distribution/relevant environment
Prior experience in safety observations/inspections, developing and implementing compliance strategies and plans.
Knowledge of safety and health management systems and practices.
Preferred : Prior MHE certification / knowledge of basic MHE operation
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional Designations
Satisfactory completion of a forklift training program
Computer Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Work, and Power Point)
RF Scanners
WMS functions
Language Skills
English (reading, writing, verbal)
Business communication
Mathematical Skills
Basic to intermediate level to verify quantities of product, count inventory, or perform other duties associated with handling, storing and distributing client products
Other Skills
Strong attention to detail accuracy and accomplish job tasks in a timely manner
Good organizational and personnel skills
Good communication skills, written and oral
Good leadership, supervision, and planning skills
Able to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends, as required by the operation
Participate in established cross training metrics activities with the opportunity to improve their knowledge in multiple areas/departments and be able to assist as a back-up when the need may arise.
Must be able to effectively adapt to change and thrive in a stimulating, fast-paced work environment.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education and/or Experience
High School Diploma or GED is required
Minimum of 2 years of supervisor experience in supply chain/logistics/warehousing
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional Designations
Able to pass TSA Security Treat Assessment (STA)
Able to pass Transportation Security Training Requirements and receive annually.
Other
Must be able to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse during the warmer and colder months can range from mild to moderate.

Basic understanding of WMS (Warehouse Management Systems)
Strong proficiency in basic MS Office applications

English (reading, writing, verbal)
Mathematical Skills
Intermediate as needed for financials/budgeting

4-Year College Degree preferred, will consider equivalent experience or combination of education and experience
3PL management experience strongly preferred
