CNC Programmer / Operator (Milling)

Location: Sterling Heights, MI
Pay: Up to $30/hour

[CONFIDENTIAL] is hiring an experienced CNC Programmer / Operator to support high-precision CNC milling operations . This is a hands-on role ideal for candidates with strong programming, setup, and troubleshooting experience in a machine shop environment.

Key Responsibilities

Program, set up, and operate CNC milling machines
Read and interpret blueprints, CAD data, and GD&T specifications
Develop cutter paths using WORK-NC software
Select appropriate feeds, speeds, and tooling based on materials
Plan machining sequences for efficient material removal
Set up fixtures, vises, and workholding equipment
Perform first-piece inspection and quality checks
Troubleshoot machining issues and adjust programs as needed
Deburr and prep finished parts for assembly
Maintain production logs and quality documentation
Follow all safety and quality standards

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
Strong knowledge of CNC programming, milling, and machining processes
Experience with WORK-NC or similar CAM software
Ability to read technical drawings and GD&T (geometric dimensions and tolerances)
Must have own tools
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and quality-focused mindset
Ability to use shop equipment and measuring tools
