About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President, Portfolio Management to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be a strategic risk leader with a deep understanding of portfolio performance, extending beyond origination. This role is pivotal in leading enterprise portfolio management strategies that are in line with risk appetite and profitability objectives. The VP-PM will be responsible for executive oversight of portfolio management, collections, and recoveries, and must be adept at monitoring and managing various portfolio KPIs. A key aspect of the role is to partner with risk analytics on forecasting, stress testing, and loss modeling, and to present portfolio performance and emerging risks to executive leadership and governance forums. Applicants for the VP-PM position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline and at least 15 years of experience in commercial finance, portfolio management, collections, recoveries, or risk management. The role requires significant leadership experience in managing large-scale collections and recovery organizations, as well as a proven track record in improving portfolio performance and loss outcomes. The ideal candidate will have a strong executive presence, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative approach to working cross-functionally with various teams. Responsibilities also include recommending and implementing policy and procedural enhancements, leveraging analytics and AI tools, overseeing third-party collection agencies, and building high-performing teams with a strong risk culture.
