Start Date: January 26, 2026
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Call: Required
- Nights, weekends, and holidays
- Call Type: 2nd Call / Backup
- Response Time: 30 minutes

Practice Setting

Setting: Hospital-based
Responsibilities:
- Assigned inpatient rounding
- First assist with cardiothoracic surgeon
Patients Per Shift: Approximately 13
EMR: Epic

Clinical Focus

Specialty: Cardiovascular / Cardiothoracic Surgery
Required Skills:
- Endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH)
- Radial artery endoscopic harvesting

Candidate Requirements (Quick Screen)

Role: Nurse Practitioner First Assist or Physician Assistant
Experience: Minimum 3 years preferred
Board Certification: Required
Fellowship Training: Preferred
Certifications:
- ACLS - Required
- BLS - Required

Recruiter Notes

Surgical first assist role with inpatient rounding
Call responsibilities are mandatory
EVH and radial artery harvesting experience required for consideration
