Mortgage Servicing Accounting Clerk Houston, TX | Full-time | Mortgage Servicing / Loan Accounting Why Work With Us Build valuable experience in mortgage servicing, loan accounting, and financial operations Work in a detail-focused team environment where accuracy and reliability matter Gain hands‑on exposure to loan servicing systems, escrow processing, and GL reconciliation What You’ll Do Track, apply, and verify loan payments to ensure accurate posting and allocation Reconcile loan accounts, escrow balances, participation loan balances, and general ledger entries Process SBA loan payments and ensure proper GL posting Prepare and distribute monthly servicing and accounting reports Research discrepancies, investigate variances, and assist with account reconciliations Process escrow overages, refunds, insurance claim payments, mortgage payments, and loan payoffs Prepare lien releases for paid‑off loans using mortgage servicing systems such as Symitar and FICS Set up new loan files, image loan documents, and maintain physical and digital loan records Answer mortgage servicing calls and respond to servicing‑related emails professionally What We’re Looking For Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and follow‑through Knowledge of mortgage servicing, loan accounting, or financial operations Experience with servicing systems such as Symitar or FICS preferred Ability to reconcile accounts, research discrepancies, and solve problems Strong organization, time management, and documentation skills Clear communication skills and a customer‑service mindset Equal Opportunity Employer We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity in our workforce.
