Job Title: Staff Accountant

Location : Oak Brook, IL

Pay Range : $32/HR-$34/HR

Job Overview:

Brilliant Financial Staffing has been engaged on the search for a Staff Accountant to join our client on a 6-month contract with potential for extension. Located in Oak Brook, IL , the Staff Accountant will report to the Director of Accounting and work closely with the VP of Finance and accounting team. Our client is a growing healthcare organization focused on supporting physicians and providing an embedded approach to healthcare operations. The Staff Accountant will play a hands-on role supporting accounts payable, billing, reconciliations, journal entries, and general accounting activities. The ideal candidate will have experience with NetSuite and BILL/BILL.com and be available to begin within the next two weeks.

 

Staff Accountant Responsibilities:

• Process and review employee expense reports, including assisting with expense-related questions and setting up new employees in the system
• Handle accounts payable activities and ensure transactions are accurately recorded
• Manage monthly billing/accounts receivable for assisted living facilities
• Prepare and post journal entries
• Perform account and transaction reconciliations
• Reconcile two corporate credit cards and manually import transactions into NetSuite
• Troubleshoot and reconcile transactions that are not properly syncing between BILL/BILL.com and NetSuite
• Assist with month-end close activities as needed
• Export and compare reports in Excel to identify discrepancies and ensure data accuracy
• Support the accounting team with various transactional and general accounting responsibilities
• Other duties as assigned

 

Staff Accountant Qualifications:

• Previous accounting experience required; degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred but flexible based on experience
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite required
• Experience with BILL/BILL.com required
• Strong account reconciliation experience
• Experience with AP, AR/billing, journal entries, and general ledger accounting
• Strong Excel skills, particularly exporting reports and comparing data
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently in a hands-on accounting environment
