In this role, you won't just run reports—you'll take command of critical workstreams, forge powerful partnerships between our engineering and finance teams, and play a pivotal role in shaping Pattern's investment strategies. Bring your best, and you'll have the opportunity to take full ownership of your role, influence our strategic direction, and help shape the future.What does success look like in the first 30, 60, 90 days? 30 Days: Learning & Discovery Conduct a deep dive into existing compute and AI infrastructure cost drivers, data sources, and current forecasting methodologies.Establish baseline relationships with key business partners across engineering and compute operations to understand current pain points and reporting needs. 60 Days: Analysis & Initial Ownership Take full ownership of the monthly reporting cycle for compute costs, proactively identifying variances and streamlining data collection.Execute a focused analysis of a specific AI/storage cost stream to identify potential efficiency or optimization opportunities. 90 Days: Strategy & Execution Propose and initiate a strategic optimization project based on findings from initial analysis, presenting a data-backed recommendation to stakeholders.Begin leading ad-hoc investment analyses for strategic initiatives, demonstrating the ability to structure ambiguous problems and communicate results to leadership.What is the team like?You will work with the other Financial Analysts and be supervised by the FP&A Manager. You will also be mentored by the Head of FP&A and meet with them on a regular basis to discuss your performance. This team is data driven and results oriented. You will collaborate regularly with members of your team to implement actionable solutions. Ideas and input are encouraged from all members.Sounds great!
