Assistant Project Manager

KOO Recruit is Hiring Assistant Project Manager – Millwork Location: Dallas, TX Reports To: Operations Director / Regional Project Manager Position Summary KOO Recruit is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the successful execution of custom millwork and construction projects from inception through completion. This role will assist with project planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, production coordination, installation oversight, and quality control while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to client specifications. The Assistant Project Manager will serve as a key liaison between clients, architects, designers, contractors, vendors, production teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and project execution throughout all phases of the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have experience within millwork manufacturing, architectural woodwork, commercial construction, casework, cabinetry, or related project management environments and possess strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with clients, architects, designers, contractors, and internal teams to define project requirements, specifications, schedules, and deliverables. Assist in developing project plans, budgets, schedules, and timelines while tracking project performance against established goals. Coordinate procurement of materials, equipment, vendors, and subcontractors required for project execution. Monitor production schedules to ensure timely fabrication and delivery of millwork products. Support quality control efforts and help resolve production or installation issues as they arise. Coordinate installation activities, site visits, logistics planning, and communication with field personnel and subcontractors. Track project milestones, costs, and progress while identifying and addressing potential delays or risks. Prepare and provide project status updates, reports, and documentation to project stakeholders. Foster strong working relationships with clients, vendors, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams. Assist with change orders, project documentation, claims management, and issue resolution. Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, quality, cost control, and customer satisfaction. Ensure projects are completed in accordance with company quality standards and client expectations. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience in project management, millwork manufacturing, architectural woodwork, cabinetry, commercial construction, or related industries. Strong understanding of millwork fabrication processes, materials, manufacturing methods, and installation practices. Knowledge of commercial construction processes and project coordination. Experience working with project schedules, budgets, and project documentation. Proficiency with project management software such as Procore, MS Project, Primavera, or similar platforms. Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving abilities. Preferred Qualifications Experience with custom millwork, architectural woodwork, commercial interiors, or specialty construction projects. Familiarity with shop drawings, fabrication processes, and installation coordination. PMP (Project Management Professional), CCM (Certified Construction Manager), or related certifications preferred. Experience working directly with architects, designers, general contractors, and owners.
