Azure Database Engineer I

Requirements

• 7 or more years of experience in designing and developing Azure databases and enterprise data lakes.

• Proficiency in Databricks and executing complex data transformations within cloud environments.

• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Monitor, and continuous integration CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience in utilizing Oracle databases and managing enterprise Teradata data warehouse architecture.

• Experience with Azure Resource Manager, Azure CLI, PowerShell, and advanced infrastructure management tools.

• Experience in implementing robust disaster recovery, Geo-replication, encryption, and role-based access controls.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to mentor technical staff and collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Architect and deploy highly scalable relational and non-relational database solutions within Azure ecosystems.

• Engineer and optimize comprehensive Data Lakehouse architectures to support critical enterprise data reserves.

• Develop complex data transformation workflows and scripts utilizing robust Azure data load utilities.

• Enforce strict enterprise data security protocols encompassing encryption, access controls, and network security.

• Establish highly resilient disaster recovery strategies leveraging Azure Backup and Geo-replication technologies.

• Automate cloud infrastructure deployments and continuous data pipelines utilizing modern CI/CD best practices.

• Provide technical mentorship to database engineers and meticulously document all system architectural designs.
