We are seeking a warm, organized, and reliable Dental Receptionist to join our front desk team and serve as the face of our practice.

Position Overview

As a Dental Receptionist at Leon Smile, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming first impression for our patients. You will manage incoming inquiries, streamline scheduling, coordinate the clinical intake process, and oversee insurance verifications to keep our practice running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Patient Hospitality & Front Desk Management:
• • Warmly greet patients and visitors upon arrival, ensuring a friendly and professional environment.
  • Check in patients, update demographic details, and assist with new patient intake forms.
• Schedule & Phone Coordination:
• • Manage multi-line phone systems using exceptional etiquette to answer inquiries, triage urgent needs, and confirm daily schedules.
  • Optimize appointment scheduling to maintain efficient workflow for dentists and hygienists.
• Insurance & Financial Coordination:
• • Verify patient insurance coverage, benefits, and eligibility prior to appointments.
  • Process intake details, post payments, and handle Explanation of Benefits (EOB) and Electronic Remittance Advices (ERA).
  • Communicate copays, balance details, and treatment plan costs clearly to patients.
• Operations & Administrative Support:
• • Coordinate seamless patient hand-offs between the front desk and the clinical back office team.
  • Maintain clean, organized front office and waiting areas.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 1+ years of dental front desk or receptionist experience preferred.
• Dental Software Proficiency: Working knowledge of Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or DentiMax (experience with at least one is strongly required).
• Bilingual Advantage: Spanish a plus/ preferred
• Insurance Knowledge: Solid understanding of dental insurance verification, claim structures, EOBs, and ERAs.
• Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with strong phone etiquette.
• Soft Skills: Highly organized, detail-oriented, multi-tasker with a compassionate, patient-centered mindset.
