Finance Director

Finance DirectorOur client is seeking a Finance Director to serve as a strategic business partner and senior finance leader within a growing, multi-entity organization. This role combines financial planning and analysis, technical accounting, operational finance, and strategic decision support to help drive business growth and operational excellence. The ideal candidate is both a strategic thinker and a hands-on leader with experience supporting executive leadership through budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, process improvements, and acquisition-related initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the annual budgeting process, rolling forecasts, variance analysis, and executive financial reportingPartner with executive leadership to translate business strategies into financial plans, operating metrics, and actionable insightsDevelop financial models to support strategic initiatives, profitability analysis, capital allocation, and business planningSupport mergers and acquisitions, including financial due diligence, integration planning, purchase accounting coordination, and synergy trackingPrepare executive, Board, and lender reporting packages with accurate financial analysis and recommendationsDrive cash flow forecasting, working capital management, and overall financial performanceImprove financial reporting processes, systems, and controls to increase efficiency, scalability, and transparencyPartner cross-functionally with operations, HR, technology, and business leaders to support organizational objectivesDevelop and mentor a high-performing finance team while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvementSupport special projects and strategic initiatives as the organization continues to growRequirementsBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required; MBA a plusCPA certification a plus10+ years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, FP&A, corporate finance, transaction support, or related leadership rolesStrong background in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, executive reporting, and business partneringExperience supporting multi-entity or high-growth organizations preferredExperience with mergers, acquisitions, and post-acquisition integrations is highly desirableStrong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and operational financeExcellent analytical, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to influence senior leadership while balancing strategic planning with hands-on execution
