Home Infusion Staff Pharmacist - Norristown, PA

Job Description

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This role focuses on preparing sterile, customized medications for home infusion therapy in a controlled and compliant environment. The position operates Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM for a duration of 8+ weeks, providing a consistent schedule with minimal technician support.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare sterile medications, including IV fluids, adhering strictly to aseptic techniques to maintain patient safety
Verify accuracy and compliance of sterile preparations with USP and regulatory standards
Oversee and collaborate with pharmacy technicians in a low-volume setting
Maintain and ensure the proper function of cleanroom equipment
Perform final inspections of compounded products before distribution

Qualifications:

Active and clear Pennsylvania pharmacist license
Minimum of 1 year of recent sterile compounding experience, preferably in home infusion pharmacy
Strong computer skills for accurate documentation and verification
Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to patient safety and regulatory compliance
