Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: CVICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day and Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Permanent license in hand required, no exceptions Certifications: BLS, PALS Must-Have: Experience with critical patients with congenital heart disease Weekend requirement: Yes - 3 of 6 weekends First timers accepted: No Float required: Yes - to other intensive care units Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in similar units. Experience with patients who have congenital heart disease is critical. Weekend coverage is required for 3 out of 6 weekends. Floating to other intensive care units may be necessary. No on-call requirements for this position. First-timers are not accepted for this role. Knowledge of pediatric cardiac intensive care procedures is essential. Candidates should possess relevant certifications including BLS and PALS.
