As the Senior Director of International Franchise Development, you will be responsible for spearheading the strategic growth and expansion of our Purpose Brands franchise network through international franchise development, master franchise sales, and strategic market expansion. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future international growth strategy of the world's largest fitness franchisor, with exposure to executive leadership and the ability to influence the growth of multiple global brands. You will play a pivotal role in identifying, evaluating, and securing new franchise opportunities while cultivating relationships with potential franchise partners. In this role you will also work closely with the leaders of the International Purpose Brands Business Teams in the region to support further growth of existing franchise partners and secure solid growth across the brand(s). For one brand, this will mean rebuilding the sales approach: designing the playbook, driving pipeline generation, and instilling the processes required to scale. For another, it will mean sustaining and accelerating momentum in a well-established, scaled system while translating that growth model into new geographies and formats. This role will partner closely with Brand Presidents to shape brand-specific development strategies that align with Purpose Brands’ broader expansion goals. They will collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment across functions and apply a highly ROI-driven lens to decision making, balancing the urgency of rapid scaling with the discipline of selecting the right franchise partners and ensuring each investment generates long-term value.**Purpose/Impact: *(Duties & Essential Functions)**** Develop a comprehensive multi-year strategy defining the roadmap for execution, detailing the necessary preparations and actions required to achieve sales objectives effectively.* Establish a clear framework for the international sales process, outlining every step from lead generation to the grand openings.* Develop and execute comprehensive strategies to identify and evaluate potential franchise opportunities in key international markets.* Lead market research and analysis to identify target demographics, competitive landscapes, and market trends to inform franchise development initiatives and spearhead them for the respective brand.* Cultivate and maintain relationships with prospective franchise partners, developers, and industry stakeholders to promote brand awareness and facilitate partnership opportunities.* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including legal, finance, operations, and marketing to develop franchise models, agreements, and support systems or products tailored to international markets and their success.* Lead the development, negotiation, and execution of franchise and master franchise agreements, building strategic partnerships with qualified franchise operators and investors in complex international markets.* Keep current on industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and emerging trends in franchise development to inform business strategies and initiatives.* Prepare regular reports and presentations to senior leadership on franchise development activities, performance metrics, and growth opportunities.* Share the best practices of Purpose Brands domestic departments and Franchise Development Team to Master franchisees across the Purpose Brands International Units.**Strengths*** Proven commercial and deal-making orientation, with the ability to identify, cultivate, negotiate, and close sophisticated international franchise and master franchise opportunities.* Ability to operate effectively across complex and emerging international markets, building relationships and developing opportunities in unfamiliar territories with a high degree of independence.* Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a passion for driving business growth.* Strong strategic and tactical communication, planning and execution skills with a global lens.* Ability to assess market opportunities, risks, and challenges to formulate effective expansion strategies related to Orangetheory Fitness globally.* Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate high-performing teams.* Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence key stakeholders.* Approach problems by using logical, systematic, sequential approach.* Ability to recognize, understand, and predict the concerns and emotions of others, and to convey this understanding empathetically through communication.* Identify and analyze information to solve problems or make recommendations that make an impact on the business performance of a market.* Anticipate the implications and consequences of situations and take appropriate action to be prepared for possible outcomes.* Explore and seize profitable business opportunities with a willingness to take calculated risks to achieve business goals.* In-depth understanding of international business practices, market dynamics, regulatory environments, and cultural nuances across different regions.* Strong understanding of international franchise markets, including market dynamics, competitive landscapes, cultural considerations, and the commercial factors that influence successful franchise expansion.* Passion for health & wellness.**Background*** 15 years of progressive experience in international franchise development, franchise sales, business development, or a related commercial development function, with a proven track record of driving growth across multiple countries and markets.* Extensive experience in international franchise development, including franchise sales, master franchise development, partner recruitment, negotiation, and contract execution. Demonstrated success developing and closing franchise partnerships and launching or scaling multi-unit franchise operations across diverse international markets.* Proven experience with master franchise or master license sales in complex international markets is highly preferred.* Demonstrated track record of sourcing, developing, negotiating, and closing complex franchise development opportunities with senior franchise partners and investors.* Franchise industry experience with multi-unit, multi-country franchise businesses strongly preferred. Experience in QSR/restaurant, retail, hospitality, fitness, wellness, or other consumer franchise businesses is valuable.* Experience working across multiple international regions is strongly preferred, particularly experience in complex or emerging markets such as Asia, the Middle East, Latin America, Central Asia, or other developing international markets.* Strong cultural awareness and sensitivity are critical for navigating diverse international markets. Experience working with teams and clients from different cultural backgrounds is highly valuable.* Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high degree of autonomy and accountability.* Experience within the health/wellness/fitness industry preferred but not required.**Additional Details*** This position requires a minimum of 8–10 weeks of international travel (including solo) in the calendar year to Purpose Brands’ existing and new development markets. Additionally, some of this travel will be over weekends and/or holidays.
