Laundry Attendant

Laundromat Attendant
Facilitate the operation of the district laundromat for homeless families and maintain order in the facility. Operates and cares for equipment used in the laundromat. Maintains a clean and orderly environment. Schedules adults for available time slots. Distributes laundry supplies as needed to adults utilizing the facility. Maintains an accurate log of use for documentation purposes. Alerts the supervisor of any problem or special information about the operation of the facility. Participates in inservice training programs as assigned. Ensures parenting materials are provided for families while they wait at the facility.
High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) Ability to develop effective working relationships with parents, students, staff and the school community. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and the Board of Education policies.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and peripheral vision.
This is a part time temporary position. Salary is on Grade 8 of the Classified salary schedule.
