Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) position requiring CVOR experience and Illinois RN licensure.

Details

• Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) setting within a hospital surgical department
• Day shift schedule of 4x10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM-5:00 PM, with a rotating day off
• On-call rotation required for weekends and holidays (approximately 1-2 on-call shifts per week and 1-2 weekends per 4-week period)
• May float to General OR when not needed in the cardiovascular service line
• Required to remain in the department except for breaks to ensure availability for patient care needs
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Minimum three (3) years of relevant nursing experience
• CVOR experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience highly preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• Must be comfortable floating to General OR

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include preparing the OR suite, patient identification and positioning, supporting the surgical team during procedures, and providing handoff to PACU or receiving unit staff
• Performs patient assessments, develops and modifies plans of care, and maintains accurate nursing documentation
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible; local candidates not accepted
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
• Contingent workers may not be on assignment for more than 1 year at this health system without a 6-month break in service before returning
