CNC Machinist - 3rd Shift

CNC Setup MachinistOpening on 3rd shift (11:00pm - 7:30am) with a growing precision manufacturing company in the Greer area.This position will be responsible for setting up and operating multiple CNC grinding and machining centers used in the production of high-precision carbide cutting tools. The ideal candidate will have hands on Rollomatic experience, be comfortable setting up and managing several machines simultaneously, and possess the maturity and self-motivation required to work with minimal supervision.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced machinist who enjoys working independently, taking ownership of their work, and contributing to the growth of a new shift operation. As production continues to grow, this role offers the potential to develop into a future lead position on 3rd shift.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up, operate, and monitor CNC grinding and machining equipmentManage production across 5-6 machines simultaneouslyPerform machine changeovers, offsets, and setup adjustmentsConduct in-process inspections and verify product qualityRead and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specificationsUtilize measuring instruments to ensure dimensional accuracyTroubleshoot machining and process issues as they arisePerform basic machine maintenance and housekeeping tasksMaintain production and quality documentationQualifications2+ years of CNC machining, grinding, or tool manufacturing experienceExperience performing machine setups and changeoversAbility to work independently with limited supervisionExperience reading blueprints and GD&T preferredStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityExperience with OD (Outside Diameter) grinding highly preferredExperience with Rollomatic equipment, particularly NP50 machines, is a strong plusTool grinding, carbide tooling, or cutter grinding experience is highly desirable
