Procurement Specialist | Contract to Hire Kansas City, MO | Hybrid after Training Looking for a chance to grow your procurement career with a global organization? One of my clients, a large international company with a strong reputation and long term stability, is adding a Procurement Specialist to its procurement team. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity that offers the chance to prove yourself, gain valuable experience and transition into a permanent role. NOTE: This role is located in the Kansas City metropolitan area, and our client does not offer relocation assistance. What You'll Be Doing Create and release purchase orders. Monitor supplier delivery commitments. Follow up on open orders and resolve vendor issues. Work closely with customer service, operations, and warehouse teams. Request supplier quotations. Expedite orders when customer needs change. Maintain purchasing records and inventory related data. Help ensure materials are available to meet production and customer demand. What We're Looking For Approximately 1 to 3+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain, buyer or purchasing coordinator roles, materials planning, or vendor management. Strong organizational skills. Excellent communication and relationship building abilities. Experience using Microsoft Excel. Exposure to ERP or MRP systems is helpful. Power BI experience is a plus but not required. Bachelor's degree preferred, but comparable experience will also be considered.
