Travel CVOR Surgical Technologist – Cardiothoracic Surgery in Everett, WA

CVOR Surgical Technologist Job Details

• Assignment Type: 13-week travel healthcare assignment
• Location: Everett, Washington, in the greater Seattle region
• Start Date: November 16, 2026
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,060–$2,210
• Schedule: 4 shifts per week
• Shift Duration: 10-hour day shifts, generally 6:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
• Call Requirement: At least 10 call shifts per month; call coverage may occur between 5:00 p.m. and 6:30 a.m.
• Weekend Requirement: 1–2 weekends per month
• Healthcare Setting: Level II trauma hospital with 18 operating rooms
• Electronic Medical Record: Epic
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatric patients; adolescent experience is preferred

CVOR Surgical Technologist Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent surgical technologist experience; 2 years is preferred
• Current Washington state registration or applicable compact eligibility in hand at submission
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• NBSTSA certification is preferred
• Demonstrated ability to independently scrub cardiovascular and thoracic surgical cases
• Recent experience with general surgery, cardiovascular and thoracic procedures, and laparoscopic cases
• Ability to float to the general operating room as needed
• Willingness to learn new procedures and support a collaborative perioperative team
• Availability to meet the required call, weekend, and holiday schedule

CVOR Surgical Technologist Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary scrub technologist for cardiothoracic and cardiovascular procedures.
• Prepare, organize, and maintain sterile fields, surgical instruments, supplies, and case carts.
• Support procedures including CABG, aortic valve replacement, mitral valve replacement, AAA repair, minimally invasive valve procedures, VATS, mediastinoscopy, robotic thoracic surgery, and ventricular assist device cases.
• Assist with CVL procedures, carotid cutdowns, laser lead standby, and other complex cardiovascular services.
• Scrub general and laparoscopic cases, with the ability to assist in additional specialties as needed.
• Participate in flexible endoscope reprocessing and support the care of bronchoscopes, EGD scopes, and EBUS equipment when applicable.
• Apply aseptic technique, universal protocol, sharps safety, specimen handling, and accurate labeling standards.
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, anesthesia professionals, and other perioperative team members to promote safe, efficient patient care.
• Provide scheduled call coverage and respond promptly to urgent surgical needs.
