This role ensures adherence to company policies, safety standards, and all applicable regulations. The Foreman oversees project execution, provides training, and serves as the primary liaison for project stakeholders, maintaining high‑quality standards throughout. Responsibilities Directly supervise a crew of 2-5 employees. Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback. Ensure crew compliance with safety and operational procedures. Project Execution: Plan and coordinate equipment and crews from start to finish, ensuring resources are in place and the job is completed safely and on time. Safety Compliance: Ensure all work complies with safety and installation standards, promoting a culture of safety within the team. Crew Leadership: Supervise the natural gas crew in the safe installation and assembly of all aspects of underground utilities and natural gas projects. Training and Mentorship: Train and mentor crew members in safety and operational best practices, fostering professional growth and development. Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret plans to guide layout, sequencing, and pipe installation. Documentation: Complete and maintain all required documentation, including timesheets, reports, and traceability records. Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the point of contact for customers, inspectors, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring clear and effective communication. Quality Assurance: Inspect completed work to ensure conformance to specifications and local codes. Manual Labor Assistance: Assist in placing underground pipes, operating power tools, and performing manual labor as needed. Material Handling: Load and unload equipment and materials for daily projects. Hazard Identification: Identify utilities and potential hazards, implementing measures to ensure crew safety. Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and clean construction equipment and company vehicles. Education/Experience High school diploma or GED preferred. Valid driver’s license. Experience in gas installation techniques and standards preferred. Vocational training in a relevant field is a plus. OSHA/OQ certifications. Experience leading construction or utility crews.
