Physical Therapist - Travel Contract

Looking for a change of scenery and a chance to help others. Join a Home Health Physical Therapist assignment in Hughesville, MD, serving southern Maryland communities. You will provide skilled, in-home physical therapy to adults and older adults recovering from injury or managing chronic conditions while working a structured weekday schedule.

Minimum Requirements

• Degree in Physical Therapy (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral) from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
• Active Maryland physical therapy license or ability to obtain state licensure prior to start.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
• Home health clinical experience preferred.
• Comfort with a mobile caseload, clinical autonomy, and rapid learning in community/home settings.
• Experience using MatrixCare EMR preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous home health travel or per diem experience in Southern Maryland or similar rural/suburban regions.
• Proven ability to manage 5+ patient visits per day (PT) or 6+ patient visits per day (PTA).

Assignment Details

• Schedule: Monday through Friday, approximately 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
• Caseload expectations: PTs typically see at least 5 patients per day; PTAs typically see at least 6 patients per day.
• Travel area: Clinicians will cover a local radius, commonly 10–15 minutes driving time between home visits.
• Documentation: MatrixCare electronic medical record is used for charting.
• Client is open to all candidates. Candidates must demonstrate confidence and the ability to learn quickly.
