Physical Therapist - Travel Contract

Overview Join a Home Health Physical Therapist assignment in Hughesville, MD. Provide skilled, in‑home physical therapy to adults and older adults recovering from injury or managing chronic conditions on a structured weekday schedule. Minimum Requirements Degree in Physical Therapy (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral) from an accredited program approved by the APTA. Active Maryland physical therapy license or ability to obtain state licensure prior to start. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC (may be required). Home health clinical experience preferred. Comfort with a mobile caseload, clinical autonomy, and rapid learning in community/home settings. Experience using MatrixCare EMR preferred. Preferred Qualifications Previous home health travel or per diem experience in Southern Maryland or similar rural/suburban regions. Proven ability to manage 5+ patient visits per day (PT) or 6+ patient visits per day (PTA). Assignment Details Schedule: Monday through Friday, approximately 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Caseload expectations: PTs typically see at least 5 patients per day; PTAs typically see at least 6 patients per day. Travel area: Clinicians cover a local radius, commonly 10–15 minutes driving time between home visits. Documentation: MatrixCare electronic medical record is used for charting.
