Role Description The Insurance Defense Attorney will handle a full-time, on-site role based in Sandy Springs, GA. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing a caseload of insurance defense matters, drafting pleadings and motions, conducting legal research, and preparing discovery responses. The role involves appearing in court, attending depositions, evaluating case value and exposure, and providing clear legal advice to clients and carriers. The attorney will negotiate settlements when appropriate, collaborate with colleagues and claims professionals, and maintain organized, timely documentation and communication throughout each case. Qualifications Strong foundation in Law with specific experience in Insurance Defense and Civil Litigation. Knowledge of Labor and Employment Law as it relates to insurance and business clients. Ability to provide clear, practical Legal Advice to insurance carriers and business clients. Proficiency in legal Research, including case law analysis and statutory interpretation. Effective Negotiation skills for settlement discussions, mediations, and case resolutions. Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active Georgia bar admission in good standing. Prior experience in insurance defense or related litigation practice strongly preferred. Excellent written and oral advocacy skills, including drafting pleadings, motions, and memos. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
