Licensed Massage Therapist Job Description We are seeking a passionate and skilled Licensed Massage Therapist to join our dynamic wellness team in a commissioned position, preferably with an existing client base. In this role, you will deliver exceptional massage therapy services designed to promote relaxation, alleviate pain, and enhance overall well-being for our diverse clientele. Your expertise will help clients achieve their health and wellness goals through personalized treatment plans and professional care. Responsibilities Perform a variety of massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments to meet individual client needs. Conduct thorough client assessments to understand their health history, current concerns, and treatment goals. Educate clients on massage benefits, post-treatment care, and self-care strategies to optimize results. Maintain detailed and accurate treatment records while ensuring client confidentiality at all times. Communicate effectively with clients to tailor sessions based on their preferences and feedback. Adhere to all safety protocols, including CPR certification and proper sanitation procedures, to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff. Stay informed about the latest massage techniques, physiology knowledge, and medical terminology to continually enhance your skills. Requirements Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist with current certification. Proven experience in massage therapy with expertise in Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments. Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology related to pain management and client assessment. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with clients. Ability to perform massages safely and effectively while maintaining a professional demeanor. CPR certification is required; additional certifications such as medical terminology or med spa experience are a plus. Prior experience working in a medical spa or similar healthcare setting is preferred but not required. Resume and references required.
