Per Diem Creative Arts Therapist Responsibilities Located on a 27-acre wooded campus, Fairmount Behavioral Health System is a peaceful, therapeutic environment for patients and families. Fairmount is a major regional resource for children, adolescents and adults who have psychiatric andbehavioral problems as well as alcohol and drug dependency needs. The spacious campus borders Fairmount Park in the Roxborough section of Philadelphia. With one of the leading alcohol and drug detox and rehab programs in Philadelphia, Fairmount is the provider of choice for individuals requiring specialized co-occurring psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment. We are currently seeking a Per Diem Creative Arts Therapist to join our team. The Per Diem Creative Arts Therapist is responsible for assessing patients' leisure and recreational activities, providing age and developmentally appropriate therapy groups using a combination of activities, creative arts modalities, and talk therapy, helping patients develop safety/crisis plans, and establishing behavioral treatment goals in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Fairmount Behavioral Health System. To perform the Per Diem Creative Arts Therapist position successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate competency in the criteria listed in this job description. The specifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability to meet the minimum requirements for this position. Staff must demonstrate flexibility for reassignment to units providing care to varied populations including children, adolescents, and adults. Qualifications Education: Master's degree in Counseling and/or related field with specialization in a creative arts/allied therapy modality (i.e. art, music, movement, recreation, occupational therapy) Experience: One (1) year prior experience in Behavioral health field working with people in recovery from mental health disorders preferred Licensure/Certification: PA professional license preferred but not required.
