Welcome to The Atlantic District. We are a locally driven team based in the heart of Bel Air, Maryland, dedicated to providing security and peace of mind to our neighbors. We believe that insurance is more than just a piece of paper; it is about protecting the lives our community members have worked so hard to build. Our office is a welcoming space where we prioritize genuine connection and honest advice over quick quotas. We are looking for a new Insurance Agent to join our close-knit family. In this role, you will be the face of our agency, serving as a reliable resource for families and businesses throughout Harford County. You will have the opportunity to engage with people from all walks of life, helping them navigate the complexities of coverage with a smile. If you enjoy building long-term relationships and take pride in helping others thrive, you will fit right in with our mission. We are eager to support your professional growth as you help us protect the community we all call home.
Responsibilities
Assess individual client needs to provide appropriate coverage recommendations.
Process new insurance applications and manage existing policy renewals.
Educate clients on complex insurance concepts to help them make informed financial decisions.
Maintain accurate client files and documentation in our database.
Collaborate with the underwriting team to ensure accurate risk assessment and policy issuance.
Reach out to existing clients to review their current plans and adjust for life changes.
Resolve client inquiries regarding billing, claims, and coverage updates promptly.
Requirements
Active Maryland Property and Casualty Insurance License.
Solid understanding of insurance policy structures and coverage options.
Confident and clear verbal communication skills for client interactions.
Proficiency in standard office software and agency management systems.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong organizational habits and attention to detail.
Prior experience in customer-facing roles is preferred.
