Mechanical Assembler

AssemblerWe are seeking a skilled Assembler responsible for constructing forklifts, pallet trucks, or masts. The role involves using blueprints, schematics, and verbal directions to ensure high-quality product assembly.ResponsibilitiesAssemble forklifts, pallet trucks, or masts using blueprints, schematics, or verbal direction.Operate overhead cranes to move larger parts or equipment.Perform functional tests and inspections to ensure product quality prior to delivery to the final inspection area.Assemble sub-assemblies, wiring harnesses, and parts of the forklift.Maintain a clean and orderly work station at all times.Essential Skills2-3 years of mechanical assembly experience.Experience in automotive installation or repair, including turning a wrench.Strong knowledge of hand and power tools.Production experience in a fast-paced environment.Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and electrical wiring diagrams.Additional Skills & QualificationsAutomobile or truck mechanic experience preferred.Proficient computer skills.Attention to detail and quality.Demonstrated teamwork skills.Flexibility to work overtime on short notice.Ability to stand for an entire shift and lift up to 50 lbs.Why Work Here?Enjoy working in a climate-controlled environment with long-term growth opportunities, including plans to hire 400 people in the next 2 years. The first shift runs Monday to Thursday from 6 am to 4:30 pm, with optional overtime on Fridays and Saturdays from 6 am to 2:30 pm. The second shift operates Monday to Thursday from 2 pm to 12:30 am, with no overtime. Employees must adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work station.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Summerville, SC.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
