Mechanical AssemblerAssemble forklifts, pallet trucks and/or masts in a climate controlled production area. Work 4 days a week (Mon-Thurs 6am - 4:30pm) with some overtime on short notice on Fridays and Saturdays. Some mechanical assembly experience required. This position is temp to perm after 3 months. These are temp to perm positions starting at $20.00/hr. as temps and $21.00/hr. when you are converted. Increases every 6 months!If you are mechanically inclined, love tinkering with cars and have knowledge of tools this might be the position for you!You will be assembling forklifts, pallet trucks or masts. You may also perform mechanical and electrical modifications to trucks in order to satisfy customer requirements.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Assemble forklifts, pallet trucks or masts using engineering drawings, schematics or verbal directionOperate crane to move larger parts or equipmentPerform functional tests and inspections to ensure product quality prior to delivery to the final inspection areaAssemble sub-assemblies and wiring harnessesMaintain a clean and orderly work station at all timesQualifications:Automobile or truck mechanic experience preferredAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematicsFamiliar with hand and power toolsBasic computer skills requiredAttention to detail and quality a mustMust be able to work flexible hours and overtime on short noticeMust be able to stand for an entire shift and lift up to 50 lbs.Ability to operate a crane and forklift safelyEducation:High school diploma or equivalent
